What To Know About Food Truck Friday
Who doesn’t want to try a little bit of everything at Food Truck Friday, where Rock Hill’s best food trucks come together for an epic block party right here in downtown Rock Hill!
Every third Friday from May to September, we gather at Fountain Park for an evening of fun, fellowship, and, most importantly, food trucks. The event starts at 6:00 p.m., but I recommend showing up a little bit early to find parking. There are multiple lots within sight of Fountain Park, but the best place to park is right across the street. No need to stress about finding a babysitter! Food Truck Friday is an event for all ages, with a mix of food, beer, live music, and children’s activities.
The 2023 Food Truck Friday schedule is as follows:
- May 19, 2023
- June 16, 2023
- July 21, 2023
- August 18, 2023
- September 15, 2023
For more information on Food Truck Friday vendors, see Old Town Facebook page.
Cibi Cibi Food Truck
We might ruffle a few feathers here, but this is on the list for our favorite burger in Rock Hill. A double patty with caramelized onions and melty cheese… it’s next level. If burgers aren’t quite what you are craving, this truck may still be for you. From chicken sandwiches to salads, Cibi Cibi offers a variety of modern American food. They have a killer deal on tacos on taco Tuesdays, too.
Where To Find
Cibi Cibi is located just outside of Slow Play Brewing, giving you all the more reason to stop by for a bite!
274 Columbia Ave, Rock Hill, SC 29730
What To Order
If you’re going to skip the burger, Cibi Cibi’s chicken sandwich is an agreed-upon fan favorite. Part of the appeal is being able to choose the spice level of the sandwich. If you’re up for the challenge or just really like spicy foods, ask for Level 4.
This may seem like an odd recommendation for a food truck, but people also really like the Brussels sprouts.

What To Order
We were torn on what to order first: the Mac & Cheese Eggrolls or the Fried Rice-a-Rito. So we ended up trying them both and weren’t disappointed.

Not only does this truck serve fresh lobster, but it also incorporates lobster into other dishes. They serve Lobster Tacos, Lobster Tots, and even Lobster Quesadillas!
A fun bit of trivia: you have the television show “Shark Tank” to thank for Cousins Maine Lobster having a food truck at all!
Where To Find
Cousins Maine Lobster is a travelling food truck. Two common places this truck can be found are outside of Slow Play Brewing and Dust Off Brewing Co.; however, up to date locations can be found on their website.
What To Order

Knowledge Perk Coffee Truck
Clearly you know what a food truck is, but have you ever heard of a coffee truck? Even better, a coffee bus? Knowledge Perk Coffee Truck serves drinks and pastries from a remodeled school bus.
At Knowledge Perk, they like to say, “Friends don’t let friends drink bad coffee,” and, since we’re friends now, we had to put this truck on our list, food or not.

What To Order
Everyone has opinions on what makes a good coffee, and we’re no exception. If you ask us, strawberry makes any drink better.
That’s why our go-to from Knowledge Perk Coffee is the Strawberries and Cream Cold Brew, occasionally swapped with the Orangesicle Oat Milk Cold Brew.
For an added treat, we like to get the CinnaSwirl. See the full menu for yourself!

King of Fire Food Truck takes the pizza we love and adds a surprising twist. Picture this: wood-fired Honey Pizza just a short car-ride away.

King of Fire has multiple locations throughout the Carolinas, two of which are right here in Rock Hill. Each week’s locations and hours can be found on their website under the header “This Week’s Locations.”

Mentioned above is the customer favorite Honey Pizza, which, it may interest you to know, earned fifth place at a pizza-making contest in Naples, Italy.
Another favorite is their Hardy Pickle Pizza, which we haven’t brought ourselves to try. Now, if you’re more like us and would rather stick to the classics, their Pepperoni Pizza is a solid choice that you won’t be mad about.
